This selection of shrubs includes all our hardy deciduous flowering plants and our deciduous shrubs that have unique colorful foliage. Many are noted for their appeal to butterflies and birds. Our normal inventory (click on the family for a full variety listing) includes the following:

Purple Sandcherry (Prunus Cistena) a very tolerant plant with intense purple -red flowers that shows stunningly throughout the summer. Small , single pink flowers line the branches before foliage flushes in late April and are very effective. Good plant for hedging, borders or as an accent, it thrives in poor soils, hardy zone 3, matures 7 x 5 if not trimmed 264,265,266
