The Arbordale Landscape Design/Installation Process

1.Inquiries about landscape projects are routed to the designer based on referrals, type of work, location and current workload.  Your design consultant will  call to discuss your project and determine if we are a good fit for the services you requested. The outcome of this phone call will determine if your first meeting should be at the project site or at our Garden Center/Nursery. The first meeting we will introduce ourselves and review the scope of your project. It will be imperative that all the family that will be involved in the project be available for this first meeting. If possible the creative checklist will be filled out in advance for the discussion. The designer will spend up to one hour reviewing your needs, your budget and expressing their design concepts for your property.

    2. The second phase of the process is engaging Arbordale to design and install the project. A small retainer starts the process where steps depending on the size of project may include a space use/design concept drawing, detailed scaled plan view drawings, elevations and even artistic renderings.

3.When we get to the detailed drawing phase we will meet you at the Nursery to review the detailed plans and plant selection. This allows you to not only see the plants that have been selected but see the actual size of the material that will meet your budget requirements.  At this point we often tag specific feature plants. (in fact you can select and tag all your plants if you wish)

We will continue to work with you, modifying the shape of the bed areas, the plant choices, the hardscaping details,  until you are satisfied and ready to to commit to the installation. If additional plans are necessary for changes we may ask to add to the retainer amount.

4.After plans are finalized and accepted we just need a deposit on the installation work to get you on the schedule calendar. Four decades of installations have taught us to stay on a project and finish it promptly.

    5. Upon completion we won't ask the release of your retainer and final balance until you and your Designer are satisfied. We commonly find our clients are not as fussy as our design team- but we want your referral so the details are important to us.

We don't leave you when the installation is over - life long relationships are our goal.
