Azaleas (evergreen)

One of Western New York's most beloved spring bloomers, these favorites should have their location well thought out. They are very sensitive to rapid temperature drops and are best located in a very protected site, usually the east or protected north side of your home. When planting dig a hole twice the width of the pot and backfill with half peat moss. There are many specific Azalea/Rhododendron fertilizers, we recommend a granular feed.
